The IPC
- Intelligent Probe Controller
with Spread
Spectrum radio
| The
IPC unit is a device designed to control and co-ordinate the collection
and transmission of remote environmental data such as soil EnviroSMART
soil moisture information over radio. The IPC also accepts data from
voltage, counter, RS 232 and SDI-12 and RS 485 based instruments.
The IPC - SS 900 is supplied with
integral Spread Spectrum radio. Spread Spectrum radio provides data transmission
ranges in excess of 5 kms in outdoor, line of sight transmission areas
using standard omni directional antenna.

| Applications |
For use where radio is required
to provide a data link between remotely positioned sensors and a base station
data recorder or PC. The IPC controls the 'power up' functions of sensors
and radio thus greatly reducing field power requirements. |
