| EIT provides a special data acquisition
software package for acquiring data from an EIT radio network directly
into a PC running Windows 95 or later. This software (called EIT
Direct ) acquires data from the EIT radio receiver via the serial port
using Modbus ASCII communication protocol. Collected data is stored in
dBase IV format and can be exported as Sentek.sdb database format.
This software will operate in 'background'
mode and thus allow you to use your computer for other operations whilst
collecting data.
For small networks this may suit
users not wishing use a data recorder.
The EIT Direct
