Aquaflex
Soil Moisture Sensors and EIT data recording and telemetry
| EIT
uses and recommends Streat Aquaflex sensors for many soil moisture monitoring
applications requiring the accurate measurement of volumetric soil moisture
content. The sensors can be purchased in lengths of 3, 10 and 20 meters.
Soil moisture is averaged over the measurement distance making it ideal
for the measurement of soil moisture in sports fields, parks, gardens and
pasture situations.
We
are able to provide a range of monitoring solutions using the Aquaflex
soil moisture including, in situ logging and remote monitoring deploying
EIT radio telemetry |

:
Lismore City Council. Australia
Location
:
Nimbin Waste Water Treatment Plant
| This EIT soil moisture monitoring
system includes radio modules, sensors and software to display soil moisture
information from remotely positioned sensors directly to a PC.
Soil moisture is monitored
using Streat Aquaflex Sensors. Sensors were inserted into the plant root
zone. In this project the Aquaflex soil moisture straps are located approximately
250 mm below the soil surface.
Soil moisture data is transmitted
from each field node to a base receiver and eTech 6 data recorder. The
Aquaflex soil sensors are controlled by the EIT radio
units which provide functions such as sensor scan intervals, sensor
settling time and data addressing. |
