Environment IT provides design, installation and maintenance of water quality monitoring stations. The stations use the eTech data recorder technology to coordinate the collection of water quality parameters and store and forward information to a remote terminal via GSM if required. Water parameters measured may include temperature, pH, EC, dissolved oxygen, depth and turbidity. EIT uses third party instrumentation for parameter measurement and interfaces sensor output (analogue and serial ) to the eTech data recorder. Local networks of water monitoring stations may be networked using the EIT radio telemetry devices Project experience
Water quality - catchment hydrology - monitoring the quality of water run-off from cane lands associated with acid sulfate soils at McLeods Ck in the Tweed Valley of Northern News South Wales - Australia This project networks 10 EIT water quality stations via local radio telemetry. These stations are monitoring pH, EC, temperature and depth. Information from each site is telemetered to an EIT weather station for data archiving and forwarding to a remote terminal via GSM. Water
quality - Tuckean Landcare Acid Sulfate Soils Project - two water quality
stations established November, 2000 to continuously record pH, EC, water
temperature and depth. A base station comprises of eTech 6 data recorder,
radio telemetry, GSM and instrumentation for water monitoring. A second
station 1 km downstream comprises of monitoring sensors and EIT radio
telemetry to transmit data to the base station.
